Yūji Itadori vs. Yūta Okkotsu: Who Would Win in a Fight?

Jujutsu Kaisen is known for its powerful characters and its brilliant fights, some of which are among the best animated in the history of anime. The second season is on the way after the first one premiered a while ago, and the prequel movie became a great success, and while we’re waiting for that, we have decided to compare two extremely powerful characters from the series. One of them is Yūta Okkotsu, the protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie and, currently, a very important manga character, while the other is the series’ main protagonist, Yūji Itadori, who was, until recently, Sukuna’s vessel (before the latter took over Megumi’s body). Yūta is more powerful than Yūji and would win a fight against him. Despite all of his talent and his learning potential, Itadori would not be able to win against Yūta Okkutsu. Yūta was immediately recognized as a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer, and although Itadori is definitely not weak, he is nowhere near Yūta’s level of power, which is why the latter wins this one easily.

Yūji Itadori is a Jujutsu Sorcerer awaiting promotion and a first-year Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College student. He is famous for his superhuman physical abilities, which earned him the nickname “High School Tiger” during his days as a student at Sugisawa Municipal High School. As a vessel, he has an extremely rare ability to contain Sukuna’s soul without ill effects. These natural abilities allow him to see curses and damage soul modifiers.

The Exorcism School has recognized four Special Grade exorcists, and Yūta is one of them. Due to the great strength of Rika, whom he mistakenly cursed, Yūta was promptly registered as a Special Grade while Rika was still haunting him. In the 29th Tournament, he appeared to have defeated all of Kyoto’s students and, after freeing Rika’s Power Limiters, was able to defeat Suguru. It has been revealed that if Yūji were to ingest one of the Nine Cursed Wombs there would be two possibilities, either Sukuna in his current state would become a cursed womb, or the consciousness of the Nine Wombs would disappear and they would become Yūji’s cursed energy since Sukuna would finish them off.

The source of Yūta’s strength is Sugawara no Michizane, although it first became apparent when he turned Rika into a cursed spirit. Suguru, a voracious collector of potent curses, gave Rika the moniker “Queen of Curses” since she grew to be such a strong spirit. Rika has limitless Cursed Energy, which she can mold into any method because she is a curse.

While controlling Rika’s full power, Yūta performs high-level exorcism despite being a novice student. Indeed, as someone who had only recently studied exorcism, Yūta had yet to learn the ropes of controlling his Cursed Energy. He quickly learned to channel some of it into his ring or katana, but often relied on Rika’s full power rather than finely controlling it on his own.

Yūji is a talented fighter who can utilize discretion and land-crushing blows. Yūji can perform a finely tuned attack, which includes changing the power in his fist and ending his attack just before it connects. Yūji is an accomplished martial artist who is a master of Taido. Despite lacking any formal training, Yūji can swiftly grasp a weapon thanks to his strength and knowledge. It should be noted, though, that given his lack of skill, he finds it challenging to direct Cursed Energy into a weapon.

He wasn’t known for using force when he was in school and used to be fairly weak in this area. Even after attempting to flee while carrying two other kids and Maki Zen’in in his arms, he ran into too many obstacles. But in hand-to-hand fighting, he demonstrated tremendous agility, enabling him to strike his opponent with a variety of, if straightforward, blows. His strength level can greatly increase when he is subjected to insane outbursts.

His fighting skills are undoubtedly Yūji’s forte, and what he lacks in skill, he compensates with his fighting abilities. This is what makes him such a formidable foe. Itadori is a naturally curious individual who often thinks of new things to ask his teachers. Simple lessons are easy for him to comprehend, but he typically takes his time with the harder ones to pick them up quickly. He is highly adept at moving forward because of his long attention span. He was able to finish the first level of Satoru Gojō’s movie-watching training in a matter of hours, and even after learning from Aoi Todo, he continued to advance quickly and level up his strength and cursed energy utilization.

He is a young man with a strong desire to learn and has demonstrated the ability to catch on to the lessons of the Tokyo school rapidly. He picks up his theoretical and practical lessons incredibly fast, enabling him to use them in battle. He does, however, have some difficulties handling the enormous quantity of cursed energy he possesses because of his low level of intelligence. He can use a variety of cursed techniques because of his talent for mimicking other people’s movements.

Well, okay, Yūji Itadori is not stupid, but he is your typical shonen protagonist, more or less, which is why this category was never his forte, although he is capable of coming up with very smart solutions to certain problems; on the other hand, Yūta is a tactical genius, and that is why he wins this final point.
